Knowing Buddha organization has received a complaint by a Buddhist that Boat Quay Pier @ Nakornpanom restaurant having the image framed on the wall where Buddha’s head was drawn inappropriately together with other decorations in the picture. The organization then proceeded the request by sending the message through Inbox on their Facebook page.
We, Knowing Buddha Organization are delighted to received such wonderful support from the owner of Boat Quay Pier @ Nakornpanom restaurant 6 hours later after asking the owner politely to help support the Buddhism by taking down the referred picture and replace it with other beautiful ones. The owner has replied that he/she will delete that picture and also sent us the empty wall photo to comfirmed their support.

หนึ่งความสำเร็จล่าสุดที่น่ายินดีและน่าชื่นชมอย่างยิ่ง เมื่อองค์กรโนอิ้ง บุดด้าได้รับแจ้งจากผู้สนับสนุนองค์กรว่า ร้านอาหารริมแม่น้ำโขงในจังหวัดนครพนม “Boat Quey ท่าเรือ @ นครพนม” ซึ่งขายอาหารประเภทจานด่วนและหมูกะทะ มีภาพศิลปะ ประดับอยู่ในร้าน เป็นภาพพระเศียร (คอขาดเอียง) ถูกทับด้วยสิ่งของต่างๆเรียงกันอยู่บนตาชั่ง ซึ่งเป็นภาพที่ไม่เหมาะสมในการนำมาประดับ องค์กรจึงได้ส่งจดหมายเป็นข้อความไปยังเพจ Facebook ของทางร้าน เพียง 6 ช.ม.ต่อมา ทางร้านก็ได้ตอบกลับมาว่า “เดี๋ยวที่ร้านจะลบออกให้ค่ะ ขออภัยด้วยค่ะ”
ทางองค์กรฯ ทราบดีว่าร้านของท่านมิได้มีเจตนาที่จะกระทำการลบหลู่ต่อพระสัญลักษณ์ของพระบรมศาสดาแต่อย่างใด แต่ภาพศิลปะเช่นนั้นจะเป็นการเผยแพร่พุทธศิลป์ในทางที่ไม่สมควร ถูกลดทอนพระเกียรติ ลดทอนคุณค่า เป็นสิ่งที่สร้างความไม่สบายใจและสะเทือนใจแก่ชาวพุทธอย่างมาก
เป็นเรื่องที่น่าชื่นชมยินดียิ่ง ที่ทางร้าน Boat Quay ท่าเรือ@นครพนม ยอมเปิดใจและยินดีปลดภาพดังกล่าวออกตามคำร้องขอด้วยความเต็มใจ และให้ความร่วมมืออย่างเต็มที่ โดยส่งรูปถ่ายมุมที่เคยมีภาพศิลปะดังกล่าวมาให้ทางองค์กร ซึ่งปัจจุบันคือกำแพงว่างๆ ไม่มีภาพศิลปะชิ้นนั้นอีกต่อไป
ทางองค์กรขอชื่นชมร้าน Boat Quay ท่าเรือ@นครพนม ผู้ไม่นิ่งเฉยต่อการกระทำที่ไม่เหมาะสมต่อพระบรมศาสดา และขอขอบคุณในการรับฟัง และดำเนินการแก้ไขอย่างรวดเร็ว ขอความเจริญ และความสำเร็จในกิจการงาน จงมีแด่ท่านและครอบครัวสืบไป
