MOMENT I
‘Would it be so wrong if I had the Buddha image at home?’
Asked a German who visited the "Spiritual Life Exhibition" of KBO’s campaign about disrespectful actions towards the Buddha images around the world. This gentleman modestly and quietly walked in to see our exhibit. After watching the 8-minutes long VDO presentation about why the symbols of the Buddha should be treated with respect, he approached our staff and said…
‘I feel surprisingly calm. In less than half an hour I just learn an important concept and understand the message you are trying to convey and what "Respect" really means.’
‘Thank you for teaching me what’s right and wrong.’
‘I guarantee your Master will be respected by me.’
MOMENT II
A few hours later, a Buddhist monk with a radiant look on his face was quietly walking by the booths. One of our staffs then bowed down and politely asked him to pay us a visit.
‘Please be cordially invited to visit our exhibit, for it would be blessings for us.’
He nodded, signified his acceptance. His name is Phra Maha Udomsak Thanaweero from Wat Nimmanoradee. After listening to the staff, he ended the conversation by saying that…
‘Your path will make the beeline for Nibbana. This is the direct and gracious way of showing gratitude for the Buddha. Thank you and I sincerely bless you all for this virtuous action.’
The staffs at KBO on that day were all overjoyed.

เหตุการณ์ประทับใจ (1)
"มันจะผิดมากไม๊ .. ถ้าผมมี Buddha Image ไว้ที่บ้าน?"
เป็นคำถามจากนักท่องเที่ยวชาวเยอรมันที่เข้ามาชม บูธนิทรรศการ Spiritual Life โดยโนอิ้ง บุดด้า ที่จัดขึ้นเพื่อแก้ไขปัญหาการลบหลู่พระบรมศาสดาที่เกิดขึ้นทั่วโลก โดยการเผยแพร่คำสอนที่นำมาสู่การมีจิตสำนึกเคารพในพระบรมศาสดา ชาวเยอรมันผู้นี้ เดินอย่างเงียบ ๆ เข้ามารับฟังข้อมูลอย่างเคารพและสงบ..หลังจากรับชม VDO Spiritual life และ Meditation ในเวลาราว 8 นาทีก็เดินมาถามอย่างสุภาพในคำถามเบื้องต้น เขาพูดต่อว่า
"ตอนนี้ผมรู้สึกสงบมากขึ้นอย่างประหลาด เพียงไม่ถึงครึ่งชั่วโมง ผมรู้สึกว่าได้เรียนรู้สิ่งสำคัญอะไรบางอย่าง ...Respect...อย่างที่คุณพยายามสื่อสาร ผมเชื่อว่าอย่างนั้น"
"ขอบคุณที่สอนผมให้รู้ว่า...สิ่งใดควรหรือไม่ควร"
"ผมขอยืนยันว่า พระศาสดาของคุณจะเป็นที่เคารพของผม...แน่นอน"
เหตุการณ์ประทับใจ (2)
ในอีก 1-2 ชั่วโมงถัดมา พระสงฆ์ผู้มีความเปล่งปลั่งบนใบหน้าได้เดินผ่านด้านหน้าบูธด้วยอาการอันสงบ น่าเลื่อมใส เจ้าหน้าที่ประจำบูธได้เดินค้อมตัวเข้าไปหาด้วยความนอบน้อม ประนมมือประคองไว้ที่กลางอกกล่าวว่า
"ขออาราธนาพระคุณเจ้า เข้าไปเยี่ยมชมบูธองค์กรโนอิ้ง บุดด้าเพื่อความเป็นสิริมงคลของพวกเราด้วยเถิด"
สมณท่านพยักหน้าเป็นเชิงน้อมรับ และได้เดินเข้ามานั่งที่โต๊ะฟังสิ่งที่เจ้าหน้าที่เริ่มบรรยายเกี่ยวกับ นิทรรศการ จากบทสนทนาที่พอควร จึงค่อยทราบว่าพระคุณเจ้าคือ พระมหา ดร.อุดมศักดิ์ ฐานวีโร ปัจจุบันจำวัดอยู่ที่วัดนิมมานนรดี บทสนทนาปิดท้ายลงด้วยคำกล่าวของพระคุณเจ้าว่า...
"ทางที่พวกคุณเดิน คือ ทางลัด ตัดตรง ที่จะนำไปสู่พระนิพพาน เพราะเป็นการแสดงความกตัญญูต่อพระพุทธเจ้าโดยตรง ขอขอบคุณและขอสรรเสริญคุณความดีนี้ด้วยความจริงใจ"
ถ้อยคำนี้ได้นำความปลาบปลื้มใจให้แก่ทีมงานในบูธทุกคนเป็นอันมาก. ... เล่าโดย คุณกัลยร์ญาณ์ ศรีภิรมย์
MOMENT III
Khun Vorawan Sirirukhakul (Yaya) recounted her story about a French man who visited the exhibit for a while. Not until he was just walking out of the display area did she then notice the Buddha head painted on his tee shirt. Yaya hurriedly caught up with the man, asked him to return to the booth and kindly tell him about his shirt
He submissively acknowledged and said “I know.... I am sorry....”
Yaya reckoned that his tone was so genuinely polite and so sincere and he really meant it when he expressed his apology. Yaya then asked him that...
“We have a shirt for you to change… would you like to change?”
He cheerfully accepted the KBO shirt and all of the sudden everyone was smiling and laughing. And there you have it, the before and after photo to impress all the KBO staffs.
The KBO shirt has become an instant sensational story of a foreigner whose virtue deserves a standing ovation.
MOMENT IV
After finishing a tour of the exhibit and realizing the unpleasant fact about worldwide disrespectful cases towards the Buddhist father, immensely-sadden and deeply-touched Mr. John Pither from the U.K. (see photo) wrote in tears in one of the postcards. He wrote…
“It saddens me that our world has become so disrespectful of the faiths of the world by commercial practices such as printing images on ‘T’ shirts, making part figurings for profit, etc. Using the Buddha in this way is abhorrent to me as a practising Christian, as the same happens to our religions images."
Shame on you for putting profit before respect!!”

เหตุการณ์ประทับใจ (3)
คุณวรวรรณ ศิริรักษ์กุล (ญาญ่า) เล่าว่า ชายหนุ่มฝรั่งเศสคนนี้ได้เดินเข้ามาเยี่ยมชมที่บูธระยะหนึ่ง แต่ก็ยังไม่ทันเห็นลายเสื้อกล้ามที่เค้าใส่...ต่อเมื่อเดินออกจากบูธไป ช่างภาพก็ได้เห็นลายพระเศียรบนเสื้อกล้าม คุณญาญ่าจึงรีบวิ่งไปชวนเค้ากลับมาที่บูธอีกครั้ง..... คุณญาญ่าได้ชี้แจงถึงความไม่เหมาะสมในการใส่เสื้อลายพระพักตร์นี้ต่อเค้า ด้วยความนุ่มนวล....
ชามหนุ่มฝรั่งเศสผู้นี้ ก็รับฟัง และด้วยความอ่อนน้อม...ก็ได้กล่าวต่อทีมงานว่า..
“I know.... I am sorry....” (ผมทราบแล้ว...ผม...ขอโทษ)
คุณญาญ่าเล่าว่า น้ำเสียงจากคำขอโทษของเค้า อ่อนน้อม และจริงใจมาก คำขอโทษของเค้า มีความหมายมาก...แล้วจึงถามต่อว่า..
“We have a shirt for you to change… would you like to change?” (เรามีเสื้อตัวใหม่สำหรับคุณ ... หากว่าคุณยินดีที่จะเปลี่ยน?)
จึงนำเสื้อ KBO ให้เค้าเปลี่ยน แล้วบรรยากาศก็เต็มไปด้วยรอยยิ้มและเสียงหัวเราะด้วยชายหนุ่มผู้นี้ได้ทิ้ง ความประทับใจให้ทีมงานกับการถ่ายภาพ ก่อน/หลัง ให้เป็นเรื่องเล่าฝากไว้
เสื้อยืด KBO กลายเป็นเรื่องราวที่สุดประทับใจ ของชาวต่างชาติที่แสดงความเคารพต่อพระพุทธองค์อย่างงดงามในทันที

คุณลุง John Pither จากประเทศอังกฤษ (ในภาพ) เขียนโปสการ์ดด้วยความซาบซึ้งใจ น้ำตาซึมด้วยความเศร้าสลดใจ หลังจากเยี่ยมชนิทรรศการ จนได้รับรู้ถึงความจริงที่เกิดขึ้นทั่วโลกต่อการลบหลู่ของพระบรมศาสดาของชาว พุทธ คุณลุงได้เขียนในโปการ์ดต่อผู้ลบหลู่รายนึง ว่า...

“ผมรู้สึกสสดใจที่พบว่า มีการกระทำที่ไร้ซึ่งความเคารพต่อศาสนาต่างๆ โดยนำมาผลิตเป็นสินค้า เช่น การพิมพ์ลงบนเสื้อยืด นำส่วนใดส่วนหนึ่งของพระสัญลักษณ์มาค้าเพื่อกำไร ผมเห็นว่าการนำพระพุทธเจ้ามาใช้เช่นนี้เป็นเรื่องน่ารังเกียจสำหรับผมในฐานะ ชาวคริสต์ การกระลบหลู่เช่นนี้เกิดขึ้นกับทุกศาสนา แม้แต่ศาสนาคริสต์ก็ตาม"
